Online Art of Paper and Stitch Talk and Q&A

£15.00

This online talk will take place live on zoom. Jennifer will talk you through her route to practice, from graduating with a degree in Textiles in 1999, her transition from textiles to paper, through to her current obsession with translating lost heritage stitches for use on paper...

Jennifer will discuss a range of 'experimental' techniques she has used in the past, such as waxing papers, working with tea bags, fusing plastics, creating 'fabrics' with leaves and even transferring magazine images during this illustrated talk.

She will also show work created through public art commissions, talk through her portfolio career, and discuss the many aspects of her practice that she juggles to continue her business now in its 24th year.

This session will last approximately an hour (depending on the number of questions asked) with the talk lasting about 45 minutes, with time afterward for a Q&A session for you to ask any burning questions. Places will be limited to just 20, to ensure a friendly, chatty environment for the Q&A session. So do feel free to bring a glass of wine or G'n'T along...
